Life never works out how you want it to. You can plan and prepare and think you have it all under control, but eventually something is going to go wrong. After 2 successful trips to meetings with no wrong trains or arriving late, our group, Funf Torte, finally made a mistake. We took the train way, way, way, way out of town and firmly believed we were not going to make it on time. After stopping to talk to someone at the information desk, we got directions to take the right train and a bus to arrive at our meeting. On the bus one of our members met a wonderful lady who told us about the ferry we could ride for free with our train tickets. So we went to our meeting and then decided to check it out. We ate lunch on the lake, took the ferry, explored a wonderful little town on the outskirts of Berlin, and had a wonderful chance to redeem the day. But thinking about it, we never would have had such a wonderful opportunity to explore a new part of the city and ride a ferry for free if it wasn't for a mistake. So embrace those mistakes, redeem something that goes wrong, and take time to enjoy the little things.
