New school punk vs Old school tradition

Arriving in Munich was an incredibly different experience than arriving in Berlin. The people, buildings, streets, and even attire were completely different. Berlin had more of a "I'm going to wear all black and grey and walk through the U's really fast" feel.

Munich on the other hand had a "here are all the tourists spots with German's walking around in traditional lederhosen."

The atmosphere is completely different in the two cities. Since Berlin is the Capitol of Germany, the population is greater which increases the use of city transportation. Munich is the Capitol of Bavaria and the city transportation is widely used, but cars are much more prevalent. Our group of 21 students have been in many different situations so far that have made us stand out as tourists, especially in Berlin. We are loud on the trains, dress in NorthFace rain jackets, carry large cameras, and speak a completely different language (some of us even throw in a y'all). In Munich, we can somewhat blend in with other groups of tourists.

Both cities have been completely different in so many ways. But only you can decide if you like the hip city vibe or the relaxed traditional style.
