Boarding through Berlin

Berlin's skateboarding scene is recognized as the ninth best place to skateboard in the world. It's more than just a hobby, it's a lifestyle. It creates a common ground for people from all different ethnic and music backgrounds to interact. My group plans to capture the skateboard culture in Berlin with some print paper and a camera lens.

Since skateboarding is an activity of leisure, it has proven difficult to set up concrete times to meet with people of interest. We found an abandon area that has been turned into rock climbing walls, beer garden and skating area called Raw Tempel. Some of the best skateboarding teams have been there. Today was our third visit back after coming too early the first time and discouraged to film the second time. We weren't able to get the b roll that we intended to get, but we were able to capture the beauty of the place. We're not sure what the land was before it became a leisure spot, but I like how Berlin makes use of their land.

As the day begin to wind down, I began to reflect on my time in Berlin. I realized then that I have not given 100 percent to this project like I should and its become recurring behavior for me. Munich is my chance to show my determination of this project and look forward to walk in Munich street very soon.
