The hostel wasn't the greatest place I've ever stayed. Our room smelt bad all the time, and creepy people inhabited the lobby (for free Wifi and drinks) and the halls. But now that I am finally home and alone in my quiet room, I miss the noise of the hostel and I miss Munich.
I'm laying here in my comfortable queen sized bed after 12 glorious hours of sleep, wondering what it will be like seeing everyone outside of Germany. I'm curious to see my new friends on campus, in the classroom, or in 5 Points (which is no Berlin club or Munich Beer Garden).
This Maymester was easily the best decision I've ever made and I want to go back already.
21 University
of South Carolina, School of Journalism and Mass Communications students and two professors are spending two weeks in Munich and Berlin Germany, as part of a May class. The object is to learn about convergence journalism and develop multimedia stories and communication skills that extend beyond the classroom. During this three-week class students will interview, write, photograph and video Germans and discover how different media's role is in this country.
