Hello from Berlin!
We are writing this a day late because we never got wifi. Our Munic/Berlin Maymester got off to a great start. We arrived in Cola early on Sunday, flew for about a hour and arrived in Charlotte. Then we had a layover and flew for 8 hours to Munich. The flight was smooth and didn't have much turbulence but was extremely long. The good part was our group sat together. Some of us slept, others watched movies, some read magazines, and some of us even picked up some German language. We arrived in Munich and got completely turned around in a new country where there was not a ton of English. We flew at 8 am (2 am Columbia time) for an hour to Berlin. We had FINALLY arrived in the city!!!! We were extremely tired and had been up for over 24 hours but were ready to take on whatever the city brought to us!

of South Carolina, School of Journalism and Mass Communications students and two professors are spending two weeks in Munich and Berlin Germany, as part of a May class. The object is to learn about convergence journalism and develop multimedia stories and communication skills that extend beyond the classroom. During this three-week class students will interview, write, photograph and video Germans and discover how different media's role is in this country.
