Our tour guide in Berlin, Sophie, visited for a weekend and has been there for 3 years. Our tour guide in Munich, Chris, came for a girl and stayed for good even after their break up. Another beer tour guide (let's just call him Brody) came here to visit his family and just never went back to Australia. Sensing a pattern? Their charismatic personalities definitely help them along on their journeys. But I don't have the courage or the money for something like that. Although it sounds like it would be amazing to start all over in a new country, especially Germany, I will be going back to reality on Saturday.
